#VSSermon On Saturday - "If All You Do Is Inside The Church and Not Outside, Then You Don't Have Anointing"

#VSSermon On Saturday _ "If All You Do Is Inside The Church and Not Outside, Then You D'ont Have Anointing

The statement was a striking point coming from the sermon titled Finding My Promised Land, on Saturday 15th October, 2016 at Victory Sanctuary Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Lekki, Lagos.

According to the preacher, Pastor Ibukun Ajiboye, he said, "Jesus came to the earth so as to establish His kingdom, His (Jesus') death is not only to save us, it is just a means to an end. The main reason of dying is to establish His kingdom on earth. His message was a message of the Kingdom".

He said further that Jesus gave us the great Commission to replicate the character of God, for the consequence of salvation, reading from Matthew 25:31-40. His mandate is not just for us to be saved, but to go out and dominate the world because we have the spirit of righteousness in us. He explains,  "God expects us to go and take the influence of His kingdom into the world. If all you do is done inside the church and not outside, then you don't have anointing, your anointing is not enough".

The Purpose Of The Church

The purpose of the church is what? - To raise world's changers. How do you do this? You bring them into the church, train them and send them into the world. The great commission mandate is to go out and disciple nations. #GoYeOut!

We can achieve this by using what God has given you to bring people into the kingdom of God; preaching the word of God in your offices; helping people around you.

The purpose of the church is to raise world changers; as you pray you work... You work your prayer

out. #PutSomeActions. Ministry is, being the Jesus that people can see; God will judge us based on the lives we have influenced. He, therefore, challenged the Christians on how best to influence the world. "Availability of money is not equivalent to fulfillment! Fulfillment is finding your space on earth". Some of us Christians lie a lot, at work, even in the church, we do the same. So it is difficult for us to influence the world".

Is The Church Responsible For The Corruption In the Society?

When the question was thrown to the congregation for a deliberation, some of the things that the people said are here below;

  • Church is supposed to be the heart of the nation. When church performs its duty, there is prosperity in the nation.
  • Church is not responsible for the evil in the society, but the church should stand against it.
  • The church's inaction or silence on those evil may be responsible for it!

Where Is The Promised Land?

How do you find your promised land?

How do you discover it? What do you enjoy doing, what do you have passion for? What gets you angry, that you don't like seeing or hearing around you? That could be your promised land. Your area of calling. But in all, you must ask God about it and hear from Him, because you may have a passion for something, but it may not be your promised land.
That you are not occupying it (your promised land) yet means you've not yet discovered it!

If you don't start, there won't be an expansion. What have you done, what is it that you are doing? God will ask you at judgement.

God's plan is to give nations to discipline (Psalm 2:7-8).

Criteria for God's Judgement
The criteria God will use to judge us would be how much life that we are able to influence... Matthew 25:31-40. What impact have you made on earth? What have you been doing to influence life on earth, because your promised land is the life you have impacted. He will ask you.
