Cultural Thanksgiving Sabbath : When You Do Not Give Thanks To God, Your Blessings Stand to Being Cursed.

Preacher: Pastor David Abioye
Message: Thanksgiving
Bible Text: Psalm 100:4

This was the message from the Cultural Sabbath Thanksgiving service at Victory Sanctuary Lekki, on Saturday 10th of December, 2016.

It was delivered by pastor David Abioye, from Babcock University, in Ogun state. Be blessed as you read through, below...

- Thanksgiving - You need to thank God. The same road that you have traveled on this year, many people have died on it. Psalm 107:31.

- Even if you have a job that you don't like, thank God that you have a job.

"And, don't you think that you are suffering because if you together gathering sufferers, that is when you know the chairman. If you have lost something, God is the reason why you have not lost everything, including your life. When you celebrate, the Lord will do a new thing in your life before the end of this year, in Jesus name". Amen.

Pastor Abioye during sermon
"Even if you are still looking for job, celebrate God that you are even qualified for a job. You are looking for a spouse, just even thank God that you are marriageable".

There is always something to thank God for. If you know how to think, you will know how to thank. The fact that you realize that you don't have food, shows that you are alive.

"We should always see reasons to thank God. Even though you might not have achieved about 50 or 60 % of the things you planned for at the beginning of the year, but you should know that there are many things that the Lord has done for you this year that you cannot count, even for the fact you are alive".

Even if you have a job that you don't like, thank God that you have a job.

1st Thessalonians 5:15-16.
2nd Timothy 3:2, when you are ungrateful, you are qualified as an unholy person, and an unholy person will not go to Heaven.
Psalm 107:8.

Psalm 150:6 - Why must we always thank God? Because we have breath in us. Malachi 2:2, when you do not give thanks to God, your blessings stand to being cursed. And you already know all the benefits of thanksgiving.

How To Thank the Lord

* Singing songs to the Lord from your heart - Ephesians 5:19-20, 1st Chronicles 23:20.

* To give your heart and life to God. Serve the Lord and be on His side - Psalm 116:12-14.

* To seek His face and know His will.

* By paying your vows to the Lord - Redeem the pledges that you made to the Lord. If you made a vow and did not fulfill it, it become a foolish vow.

"And don't be so organized in the presence of the Lord when doing your thanksgiving, do it freely. Remember, a person who is ungrateful is a great fool".

Thank the Lord for everything that He has done for you this year, and begin to thank Him for His faithfulness.

Give Him praise and appreciate Him. Celebrate the Lord. He is worthy forevermore.
